Canaima and The Angel Falls

The Kerepakupai Vena “Angel Falls” has become one of the most requested routes currently by domestic and foreign tourists, who travel amazed and driven by what it means to observe the highest continuous waterfall in the world for these reasons we have created a route outside the comfort offered by the traditional trip so that the participant can live an experience totally attached to nature and its great energy, sharing directly with the indigenous communities of the area, holders of ancestral knowledge.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival to Canaima Community

Canaima Lagoon, Hacha Falls, Wuaraima Falls, Golondrina Falls, Ukaima Falls, and Sapo Falls.  

Wey Tepuy Indigenous Camp in the town of Canaima.  

Overnight in beds / private bathroom.  

Day 2

Departure to the Angel Falls

Navigation between the Carrao and Churun River to Angel Falls, with stops at Pozo de la felicidad, Isla Orquidea and Piedra del Caiman.  

Overnight in hammocks at the Base of Angel Falls.  

Day 3

Return to Canaima Community

After doing all the Angel Falls tours. After lunch we return to Canaima.  

Overnight at Wey Tepuy indigenous camp with private bathroom.  

Day 4
Kuravaina Tepuy Hike

Very early in the morning we go to Caño Moroco to start a 3 hour hike to the top of Kuravaina Tepuy and then a refreshing swim in Pozo Azul with lunch. Then return to the camp. 

Day 5

Tour of the Pemon community and Tour of lodges and departure from Canaima.

Canaima’s mixed climate ensures good weather all year round. The best months to travel to Angel Falls are between April and November, thanks to the constant rains that keep the river level suitable for navigating to the falls. 

From Venzuela the average cost of a 5 day trip to Angel Falls in Canaima is between 900 and 1300 dollars depending on the camp where you stay. 

Getting to Angel Falls will take you 1 full day from the town of Canaima. You can spend the night there in hammocks or go and return all in one day. 

The cost of the helicopter to fly over Canaima and Angel Falls is $3,000 for a maximum of 6 people.
